The opening week of the venerable summer festival features tango music, classics by Haydn, Beethoven and Mozart, along with new music by return visitor Andy Akiho, one of America’s hottest young composers. Join us for five weeks of extraordinary chamber music exploring the timeless works of Beethoven, his inspiration, and his influence. Chamber music is often called “the music of friends” and part of what makes our festival experience so unique is our audiences enjoying the dress-down atmosphere of informal summer picnics on the picturesque grounds of Reed College and Portland State University, or a friendly dinner out downtown before relishing in a rich variety of chamber music available in the Northwest!

The event takes place from 10AM to 5PM with the parade starting at 10:45AM. The Street Fair will take place in pockets throughout the District as well as at great businesses all along Division and Clinton. Street Closure pockets are at SE 26th and Clinton and SE 31st, SE 35th Pl and SE 36th and Division St. The Parade, starting at 10:45AM, will start at SE 50th and Division, head towards SE 20th and Division where it cuts over to SE Clinton Street and ends at SE 27th and Clinton.

The Oregon Brewers Festival is one of the nation’s longest running and best loved craft beer festivals. Situated on the west bank of the Willamette River, it is the ideal venue for anyone who loves craft beer. With a laid back attitude and scores of award-winning beers, the festival reflects the essence of the city of Portland, aka Brewvana. Approximately 80,000 beer lovers annual visit during the five-day event. The Festival exists to provide an opportunity to sample and learn about more than 20 craft beer styles. There will be 111 independent craft beers available this year: 88 from craft breweries from all over the U.S.; and 23 more in the International Beer Garden featuring beers and brewers from Japan, China, Germany and the Netherlands. The event features live music, beer-related vendors, beer memorabilia displays, home brewing demonstrations and an assortment of foods from a variety of regions. The Crater Lake Soda Garden offers complimentary handcrafted root beer for minors and designated drivers.

For the 21st time, Providence Bridge Pedal will celebrate cycling in Portland and the Willamette River bridges. It is the one opportunity each year for you to join your family and friends biking over Portland’s bridges, including the car-free upper decks of the Fremont and Marquam bridges. There is a ride for cyclists of every level. For those who prefer walking, Providence Stride is a walk that includes crossing the Fremont Bridge.
Hood To Coast Relay

1,050 teams of 12 runners. Hood To Coast is 198 miles long. The 2016 event will include 12,600 runners and 3,600 volunteers. HTC began in 1982 with 8 teams and has filled the team cap on the opening day of registration for the last 18 years straight!

Project Pabst offers a unique experience, incorporating music, art, hands-on experiences, as well as food and beer at reasonable “non-festival” prices. Aside from great bands, festival goers will be entertained with the PBRcade (an old school arcade), PBR Vandalism which is an interactive art experience utilizing a van as a canvas, and PBR Wax, which is a mobile studio where people can record their own demo of music and take away the recording on a vinyl 45. Additionally, a local artist from each city will be highlighted on a limited edition Project Pabst 16 oz. can.
